It appears
from a question asked in the recent full meeting of Cornwall Council (14 Jan) that Newquay Airport is charging Flybe substantially
less per passengers handled than it charges Skybus.
Actual figures could not be disclosed because they were deemed
commercially sensitive but the difference in rates is apparently substantial and was negotiated following Flybe's threat to stop the London service.
You can hear
the question from Cllr Bob Egerton on the webcast here (time 00.28:52) followed by Cllr
Paynters (Cabinet Member for Partnerships) response (00:29:54). Cllr Paynter is apparently "OK"
with the arrangement.
