Airport Upgrades given green light by Brussels over 'State Aid' rules.

Scilly Today reports that the European Commission has given planned runway improvement work at IOS Airport and Lands End Airport the green light as far as 'state aid' rules are concerned. Read the full news item here.

The European Commission explains concisely (unusually so) what 'state aid' is and why it needs to be regulated here.   

With the contractor already on site at St Mary's this announcement from Brussels will be welcome by the IOS Council.
